Excellence in Assessment Designation

CSUEB Receives Excellence in Assessment Award 

In 2021, California State East Bay became the first public university in California to receive the Excellence in Assessment award by the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment. This designation, the first national initiative of its kind, recognizes institutions that successfully integrate assessment practices throughout the institution, provide evidence of student learning outcomes, and use assessment results to guide institutional decision-making and improve student performance.

This is an award that acknowledges Cal State East Bay’s strong commitment to our students. It recognizes the collaborative work of our faculty, staff, and students collectively and authentically examining how we are making continuous and meaningful improvements to student learning at all levels.
