Enhance your college experience by living on Cal State East Bay’s campus while attending classes at Chabot!

Chabot classes are only a short 10 minute drive from Cal State East Bay - Hayward campus. Or take the AC Transit 60, which travels directly from campus to campus.

Living in residence halls, students can:

  • Explore new cultural identities and diverse perspectives
  • Build skills for college transition and streamline transfer options

Residential Communities

We offer dedicated opportunities for Chabot College students to engage in the residential community. Our residential programs help support students as they experience more independence that comes with living on campus. We also help our residential students connect with the campus and their peers to make the most of their college experience. Chabot College students will have the opportunity to have an immersive experience with Cal State East Bay students as students will be intermixed into shared residential communities and engagement programs.

Pioneer Dining

There are many food options available on Cal State East Bay’s campus. All residents are required to have a meal plan that can be used at any of our 10 on campus dining locations. You can explore all our locations, hours, and menus here.

Housing Tours Available - 3 Options

Schedule through the Welcome Center. Be sure to add a Housing tour when you schedule your campus tour (recommended option).

Email University Housing. Tours are available Monday through Friday based on staff availability.

Steps to Apply

  1. Submit an application through Open University to generate a Net ID.
  2. Send your new Net ID to housing@csueastbay.edu to inform of interest in Housing. Once Housing confirms:
