The Department of History & Global Cultures at Cal State East Bay is the editorial home to two publications.

Our department publishes the award-winning undergraduate journal, East Bay Historia, which is edited and produced annually by students in our programs. The articles published in East Bay Historia reflect advanced scholarship completed at both the BA and MA levels.

We also publish a regular newsletter for our Friends of History community. This newsletter shares out significant events and milestones among students, faculty, and staff in the History & Global Cultures Department, and among our donors and supporters. 

WE WON FIRST PLACE!

Big news! The 7th Volume of the East Bay Historia won FIRST PLACE in the Nash Journal Prize, a national competition of Phi Alpha Theta. Our journal won for best graduate print journal.
