Tutoring
EXCELs developmental tutoring philosophy is to develop the student's self-confidence, academic ability, and personal responsibility by providing resource referrals for individual tutoring that includes assistance with course content and learning skills.
Both in-person and virtual formats, tutoring resource in the Student Center for Academic Achievement (SCAA) located on the 3rd floor of the CORE Building (Room 343).
- Peer Tutoring for writing across the curriculum, and for a number of math, statistics, and science courses.
- Peer Academic Coaching is available to help students navigate their academics and get the most out of their college experience.
- Online Writing Lab (OWL) allows students to submit their papers and receive tutor feedback asynchronously.
- Writing Associates (WA) provides a writing tutor to support you in a variety of ways
- Supplemental Instruction (SI) peer led program

STEM LAB located in the College of Science, a friendly space where you can connect with undergraduate Learning Assistants (LAs) and graduate Teaching Associates (TAs). Feel free to drop in with questions, collaborate with study groups, or work on your homework for BIOL, CS, MATH, PHYS, and STAT!
EXCEL and SCAA also provide academic success workshops such as note taking, time management and writing a personal statement. Online academic resources for students are available here.
