Update to the Campus Wi-Fi!
We were recently informed by IT that there will be an update to the campus wi-fi soon. The campus has implemented Eduroam to replace the CSUEB wi-fi network. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to move to the Eduroam wi-fi network as soon as possible as the CSUEB wi-fi network will retire in 2024. You are asked to use your Cal State East Bay credentials to connect with this network the next time you are on campus. This will facilitate the authentication of your device(s). Since this network is commonly used at other CSU and UC institutions, once your device(s) is authenticated, no additional action is required to utilize Eduroam wi-fi at other CSU and UC campuses and other universities and colleges that have implemented it too. For more information and instructions on how to access the Eduroam network, please visit the link below. Read More
Welcoming Two New Faculty to the Department!
We continue to celebrate Dr. Abigail Morales (abby.rodriguezmorales@csueastbay.edu) and Dr. Hongye Wang (hongye.wang@csueastbay.edu) joining our faculty! Broadly speaking, they are both microbiologists. Dr. Morales' research is centered in the area of immunology with a focus on identifying the role of host DNA damage signaling in modulating immune responses to bacterial and viral pathogens. Dr. Hongye studies issues in food science and technology, with a focus on understanding how foodborne pathogens persist in food and food-related environments and developing strategies to detect and control these pathogens. You can find more information about these two accomplished scientists at the link below. In the meanwhile, please join us in welcoming Dr. Morales and Dr. Wang to our department! Read More
