Volunteer Opportunities

There are many opportunities to get involved in and take a direct part with the events and programs. Volunteers are a vital part of our center and bring our mission to life. By volunteering at the LSSC, participants will gain valuable experiences and community service hours while working to put on events and programs that benefit the CSUEB community as well as the experiences of Chicanxs/Latinxs at this university. As the LSSC is developing our volunteer program- we want to offer options to fit students’ capacity and availability. The LSSC has created two categories of volunteers: 

• Event volunteers: application open year round, typically day of, assist in preparation, execution, and the clean-up of events. 
• Semester Intern: limited to 4-6 students per semester.  This is an option for those who can commit a minimum of 4 hours per week, for a semester. This is designed for those who want a behind the scenes look at the programming that goes into the events and programs hosted by the LSSC and/or a partner community organization. Semester volunteers will be onboarded within the first month of each semester.
