Academic Success Programs
The Student Center for Academic Achievement (SCAA) provides CSUEB students with individual and collaborative learning opportunities through peer-to-peer support programs, including Peer Tutoring (various subjects), Writing Tutoring, and Supplemental Instruction (SI). SCAA services help students set achievable goals, develop academic skills, and improve subject comprehension.
The SCAA is located on the Third Floor of the CORE Building. SCAA can be reached via email at SCAA@csueastbay.edu or via phone at 510-885-3664.
The main components of the FYE include a coordinated care system of academic advising, academic pathways, and opportunities & events. For questions and to get more information about the FYE at CSUEB, email f20frosh@csueastbay.edu or GEOffice@csueastbay.edu, or call (510) 885-2941.
Accessibility Services provides academic accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities. Our counselors determine accommodations on an individual basis after reviewing current professional documentation and meeting with the individual. The purpose of such accommodations is to provide equal access to classroom programs and campus activities in a manner consistent with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, associated California laws and regulations, and CSU policy.
In addition to accommodation and support services to University students, faculty and staff members, we inform and collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure successful implementation of accommodations and to increase the level of access and inclusion of all individuals on campus.
