Public Transportation

All three Cal State East Bay locations are easily accessible by major freeways and public transportation. The Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)AC Transit and Central Contra Costa Transit Authority (CCCTA) systems are the most popular forms of public transportation to CSUEB. Hayward Campus

To provide the campus community with the ability to travel more frequently between BART and CSUEB, AC Transit provides service on the #60 bus from Hayward BART to CSUEB. For the AC Transit Bus #60 schedule, please click below. Find out more information on AC transit fares

Free campus shuttles for current students, faculty and staff, run to and from the Hayward and Castro Valley BART stations, as well.


Oakland Center

The Professional Development & Conference Center, located at 1000 Broadway, Suite 109, is easily accessible by BART. The Center is located across the street from the Oakland City Center/12th Street BART Station; be sure to exit the station using the 11th Street Exit. From the Oakland City Center/12th Street BART station, or from other parts of Oakland, take AC Transit buses #1, 1R, 11, 12, 14, 18, 20, 26, 31, 40, 51A, 58L, 72, 72M, 72R, and 88.


Concord Center

CSUEB Concord Lyft Service offers CSUEB students (currently enrolled in classes or programs through CSUEB), faculty and staff rides to/from Concord BART and the Concord Center during pre-determined time windows. Rides are restricted to/from Concord BART and Concord Center only, rides must start/end at those locations.
