Graduation Status
The Office of Planning & Enrollment Management (PEM) will post your degree according to your graduation candidacy. For example, if you finished your degree requirements in Spring quarter but you filed your graduation candidacy in Fall quarter, you will be considered a Fall graduate. When your degree is posted is mainly determined by when you file for graduation candidacy or expected graduation term.

You may check your graduation status by selecting Graduation Status/Commencement in the pull down menu in your Student Center in MyCSUEB. Information will be displayed about your official name, address, degree posting status, etc.
Your degree will be posted up to 3 months following the last term in which you filed for graduation. If there are any issues with your course requirements, you will be contacted by the Graduation Evaluations office via Horizon email. Once your degree has been posted, you will see a notation on your unofficial transcript in MyCSUEB and your graduation status will be updated to awarded.
The Commencement Program and diploma will be printed with the official name of the student on file with the university. Students who have legally changed their name should download and submit a Personal Data Change Form with appropriate documentation. You must submit your name change request by the last day of the term which you filed for graduation for your new name to appear on the diploma. Go to the Academic Calendar to determine when the quarter ends (and when to expect your diploma).
Your diploma will be mailed to your permanent address on file with the university. It may take 4-6 weeks for the diploma to be mailed out after your degree has been posted. Students wishing to change their permanent address may do so online through MyCSUEB prior to the end of their last quarter. If you have further questions about your diploma, please contact diploma@csueastbay.edu.
