The Hayward Promise Neighborhood (HPN) initiative is inviting the Cal State East Bay campus community -- students, faculty, staff and alumni -- to take part in its "Healthy Promise Run, Walk, Stroll and Roll," as well as a Community Resource Expo, happening on Saturday, April 5.
HPN, a community initiative led by CSUEB (in partnership with a variety of community, non-profit and government agencies), is opening the day of activities with its 5K "Healthy Promise Run, Walk, Stroll and Roll" beginning at 8:30 a.m. at John Muir Elementary School, 24823 Soto Road, in Hayward. The route will take participants to Eden Area Greenway on Soto Road, between Berry and Culp, where HPN is hosting the Community Expo beginning at 10:30 a.m. It will be open until 3 p.m.
The expo will offer health and education resources, food, entertainment, activities for kids, and much more. Admission to both the 5K and the Community Resource Expo is free.
