Students graduating from CSUEB’s Paralegal Studies Certificate program celebrate together at Dec. 12 event.
CSUEB’s Paralegal Studies Certificate program has a new group of students to add to its growing list of graduates. Receiving recognition for earning their paralegal certificates, approximately 40 students gathered together on Dec. 12 at the Hayward Campus for the program’s annual graduation celebration.
“We’re very excited about this graduating class,” said Paralegal Studies Program Director, Dwight Dickerson. “This class truly reflects the motto of the University, ‘Per Aspera Ad Astra,’ which translates to ‘through adversity to the stars.’”
Graduates in attendance enjoyed a dinner, followed by a presentation of certificates and graduate gifts.
Paralegal Studies faculty members Dickerson, Alex Lubarsky, Bill Bart, Betty Cavanaugh and Geoffrey Steele also attended the event.
The American Bar Association (ABA)-approved Paralegal Studies Certificate Program is offered through CSUEB’s Division of Continuing and International Education, and qualifies aspiring paralegals for entry-level positions in the field.
