Cal State East Bay’s Office of Academic Advising and Career Education (AACE) will officially launch a new database, PioneerJobs, that will enhance job match and career search services for students, alumni and employers. PioneerJobs can be found at AACE.

AACE will host an open house for the launch in SA 2300 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12. Food will be available, along with demonstrations of the new Web site. T-shirts will be given to the first 120 students attending.

The PioneerJobs data system site streamlines student and employer registration, resume referrals, placement tracking, job posting, interview scheduling, and alumni mentoring, according to Lawrence Bliss, AACE director. The site is powered by CSO Research’s interface system.

“It provides 24/7 access for students to register, search for jobs, send online inquiries, and manage multiple resumes, cover letters, and other employment related documents,” Bliss said. “It allows employers to easily post job opportunities, receive online applications, and sign up for career fairs.

“We are very excited about the launch of this new web site, as it exemplifies the focus of our office on supporting the needs of students and employers,” said Sylvia Head, employer relations coordinator for AACE.

“By implementing this new system, we will continue to enhance our services related to full-time employment, internships/cooperative education, student employment, volunteer service learning, federal work-study, alumni employment and more,” Bliss noted.

Further information is available by contacting AACE at (510) 885-3621.
