Economist Leo Kahane on state gun laws, May 29

Leo Kahane, professor of economics at Providence College, will present “State Gun Laws and the Interstate Export of Crime Guns,” on May 29 as part of the Smith Center for Private Enterprise Studies speaker series. This will be the final event of the 2012-13 academic year.

Kahane, who taught at CSUEB from 2002 to 2010, has authored numerous book chapters and published articles in economics journals. He is also the founder and editor of the Journal of Sports Economics.

The Smith Center lecture series is free and open to the public. Event starts at 2 p.m. in room 311 of the old University Union.
