First-time freshmen, transferring students and their families will get an advance look at life as a student on Thursday, May 9, when the university hosts Welcome Day 2013 on CSUEB’s Concord campus, 4700 Ygnacio Valley Rd.
The event will be held in the Oak and Redwood rooms from 4pm until 6pm. Staff members of the university will provide information on the university, including financial aid, academic programs and student life. Tours of the Concord campus also will be conducted. Dinner will also be provided for participants in the quad.
“We try to push the 'students first' philosophy,” in which student access and success rank among the university’s top priorities, said Amanda Segura, director of enrollment development for the University.
