Lisa Im, chief executive officer of Performant Financial, was selected as the 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year – Services by Smart Business magazine. Under her leadership, company revenue grew from from $88 million in 2007 to $163 million last year. Im’s success has also profiled by the national publication, Investor's Business Daily. Im joined the company in 2002 and became CEO in 2004.
Performant Financial Corporation is a provider of technology workflow management solutions for various government, healthcare and financial services markets. The student-loan business provides 65% of revenue, thanks to Performant's 22-year relationship with the Department of Education. The firm also provides its services for other institutions engaged in student lending.
A 20-year veteran in corporate growth and operational strategies, Im has been in leadership ranks at some of the largest global consumer product goods companies, during which time she helped grow market share, volume, and diversity. During her tenures at Kraft and BestFoods, Im served in both executive level operational and financial leadership capacities throughout the United States.
