David J. Theroux, founder of The Independent Institute and publisher of The Independent Review, will be the guest speaker for the Smith Center for Private Enterprise Studies lecture series on April 4. He will present on "Free Market Alternatives to Leviathan." The Independent Institute is a non-profit, non-partisan, scholarly research and educational organization that sponsors in-depth studies of critical social and economic issues.
Theroux is the editor of the books The Energy Crisis, Private Rights and Public Lands (with P. Truluck) and Politics and Tyranny, and his articles and reviews have appeared in USA Today, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, Christian Science Monitor, Investor's Business Daily, Washington Times, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Dallas Morning News, Insight, and other publications.
