CSUEB launches new certificate in game design

With the popularity of smart phones on the rise, the game design industry is forecasted to grow rapidly over the next 4 years – increasing from $5.2 billion in 2010 to $58 billion by 2014. To meet industry demands, California State University, East Bay is introducing the first three courses for a new certificate in Game Design.

The Game Design Certificate presents a sequence of hands-on courses that build skills in the various aspects of game design and development. By the end of this program, students will have the knowledge necessary to produce a successful game, suitable for play on iOS, Android, web, or desktop platforms.
