CSUEB grad tapped as CEO of Monarch Casino

John Farahi, BA political science '71, has been tapped as CEO at Monarch Casino, Inc. Monarch owns and operates hotel properties in Nevada. The star of the property collection is the Atlantis Casino, Resort & Spa in Reno, Nevada (Atlantis Casino)

Farahi previously served as the President, Director and General Manager of Golden Road Motor Inn, Inc. He is a partner in Farahi Investment company, which is engaged in real estate investment and development. Farahi also served on the Washoe County Airport Authority as a Trustee and is a former member of the Nevada Commission on Tourism and is presently a Board Member of the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors' Authority.
