National Public Radio (NPR) reporter Richard Gonzales used a photo by Eric Risberg (Associated Press) of Cal State East Bay to accompany his story, “Calif. Upholds In-State Tuition for Illegal Immigrants.” The story aired on November 17 as part of the “All Things Considered” program. Listen to story.

Although, CSUEB is not mentioned in the article, the photo caption said, “Students rush into a lecture hall at California State University East Bay (CSUEB) in Hayward, Calif. The California Supreme Court has ruled that illegal immigrant students who have attended high school in California for at least three years and graduated can continue to pay in-state tuition rates at public colleges and universities such as CSUEB.”
