Cal State East Bay President Mohammad “Mo” Qayoumi will interview famed director Indhu Rubasingham at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre on Oct 25. This free event is part of the theatre's "Page to Stage" series.
Rubasingham is known for directing plays on Britain's most esteemed stages, including the Gate Theatre, the National Theatre, the Royal Court, and the Young Vic. She co-directs, The Great Game: Afghanistan, a unique three part theatrical event exploring the culture and history of Afghanistan since Western involvement in 1842 to the present day. Great Game will debut on the west coast at Berkeley Rep’s Roda Theatre on Oct 22 with performances through Nov 7.
The talk starts at 7pm and runs about 60 minutes; doors open at 6:30pm for general-admission seating. No tickets are necessary, but seating is limited. For more information, visit the Berkeley Rep Web site.
