Associate professor of economics Christian Roesser was recently featured on ABC-7 discussing his research on game theory and how it may be helping “Jeopardy” reigning champion 35-year-old James Holzhauer.

Associate professor of finance Sinan Goktan recently had a paper entitled “Corporate Governance and Firm Survival” published in the journal “The Financial Review” and was selected as the winner of the Financial Review Editor’s Choice Best Paper Award - 2018.

Assistant professor of health sciences Michael Stanton recently had an article entitled “Fruits and Vegetables Versus Vegetables and Fruits”published in the American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine.

Cal State East Bay Chief Information Officer Jake Hornsby was recently interviewed on the podcast “Education Empowered”about the importance of building a community of artificial intelligence innovators across higher education.

Cal State East Bay recently received an Excellence in Student Success Award from the customer relationship management tool, Salesforce, for the university's work implementing the software campuswide. The University Extension staff was also separately highlighted by Form Assembly for its work implementing the CRM.
