Ask the Experts

OFD will be hosting Ask the Experts sessions via Zoom on Thursday afternoons in November. These sessions are intended to provide a supportive space for faculty to discuss teaching and assessment challenges with other colleagues. In other words, we will serve as experts for each other in exploring specific challenges in our classrooms.

Title II Series: Learning Management System (LMS) Workshop: Meeting Accessibility Standards in your Hybrid/Online Classes on Tues. Dec. 10 from 3-4pm on Zoom

Are your online/hybrid courses ready for April 2026 when new requirements in Title II of the Americans with Disability Act will be enacted? In this workshop, faculty will learn about the new Title II requirements and leveraging Canvas to meet those requirements. Topics will include how to make your instructional materials accessible to all students including scanned pdfs, word and google documents, images, and videos. This workshop is the first in a series. Look for more Title II workshops coming in the spring semester.

 

3rd- 5th Year Retention Workshops, Drop-In Hours & Individual Consultations

If you’re going up for your 3rd-5th year retention at the beginning of spring semester, please consider attending one of the workshops or drop-in hours listed below at the end of this term. You can also email Sarah Nielsen (sarah.nielsen@csueastbay.edu) for an individual consultation.
