Career Awareness and Preparation (CAP) Program

The Institute for STEM Education is committed to building a sustainable career pipeline for all Cal State East Bay students as they prepare to enter the workforce. The CAP program understands the role of inclusive practice and providing holistic support that goes beyond diversity and focuses on leveraging our partnerships to create professional communities that are accessible and equitable to employees from all backgrounds.
Building on partnerships with local STEM businesses, CAP's resources are sourced from a collaborative network of dedicated industry experts, civic leaders, and academic professionals who are eager to connect with our talented pool of Cal State East Bay students. LBNL's Summer Internship Program 2022
Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL) has partnered with the CAP Program in launching a 9-week internship program this summer of 2022! The goal of this internship program is to provide 10 undergraduate students exposure to the vast scientific network at Berkeley Lab and shine a light on many possible career paths with a degree in STEM.
