California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI)

The California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI) has partnerships with high schools in the following districts:

Alameda County
Contra Costa County
Emery
Hayward
Mt. Diablo
New Haven
Newark
Oakland
Pittsburg
San Lorenzo

These students are guaranteed conditional admission to Cal State East Bay as long as they meet the CSU Admission requirements using the Academic Planner tool on CaliforniaColleges.edu and the Cal State East Bay Index, pending verification of final transcript.

Another benefit is that students have the option to import all high school coursework into Cal State Apply application, thereby streamlining the application process.

CaliforniaColleges.edu is the State of California’s official college and career planning platform. Offering detailed information, curricula, and tools informed by students’ transcript data, it acts as a one-stop shop to help students discover their college and career goals, make plans for how to achieve them, and launch into fulfilling futures.

Students and educators in CCGI partner districts also gain access to data-driven tools that tap directly into students’ coursework information to help them plan high school courses, determine college eligibility, and streamline the college and financial aid application process.
